Last week Tada-san invited friends and associates to a dinner party at Koyomina. Also in attendance was a crew from NHK, in production on a profile of Tada-san for the series “Professional” (here, in English) to be broadcast sometime later this year.
We got a surprise visit from Masumi Kikuchi! He had this cafe space before we did. The restaurant was called “Non-No“, and featured the original “Kappa-chino“, traditional ramen and curry dishes, soft ice cream, and cold beer.
What’s up in Chizuko’s kitchen? Today’s featured desert is apple cake with home-made caramel sauce, made with local sanfuji apples. Inspired by a Paula Deen recipe, this cake is so good, you’ll think you’re in heaven, surrounded by apple trees and singing angels.
