In honor of this summer’s most popular iced coffee beverage, Michael’s Cafe American proudly presents Sea Cloud, the movie!
(okay it’s not really a movie, it’s only 42 seconds long, but if you drink as much coffee as I do, 42 seconds is a long time)
Our Sea Cloud Iced Latte is made with fresh whole milk from local dairy farms. First, the milk is poured into a glass with ice. Then fresh roasted coffee from our own Black Ship Coffee is made into a generous serving of espresso, then carefully poured on top, so that it floats like a cloud on top of the ice cold milk.
Videographer Daisuke Hakamada (Tono Brewing Company) captured the sea clouds of the Tono basin, using an iPhone, and time-lapse photography, in the hills high above Tono, at sunrise.
Golden Week brought many new faces, and lots of good food and celebration. We’re still new (only about ten weeks!) so this was our first test serving Tono during a busy holiday.
These girls came from Hanamaki to visit the cafe. Turns out, they’re sisters! Four sisters, and there’s two more, not seen here! They each ordered an espresso.
After a relaxing two days off (Monday and Tuesday) we’re open! A new, revised April calendar is here, with extended hours for Golden Week in May.
No matter where you are, no matter what time zone you’re in … it’s always time for coffee and music.
Enjoy some here … Or take some home!
Tsuyoshi Sato came in today, was happy to see our Texas flag. Tsuyoshi-san lived and studied briefly in Ennis, Texas, when he was 19. More about Ennis here.As a boy, I lived very close to Ennis, in Irving, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, until the end of grade school.
