Above the Cafe and Tourist center, in the watchtower, sits this little man. Who is he?

If you come to the cafe, make sure you look up, as you enter, you’ll see him.

Tengu (天狗, “heavenly dog”) are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion and are also considered a type of Shinto god — kami — or yōkai — supernatural beings … Buddhism long held that the tengu were disruptive demons and harbingers of war.

Here’s a few more tengu images.

Tengu can be a trouble maker. He hasn’t caused any disturbances yet, but if he climbs down, comes in the cafe door, and demands coffee, I’m certainly not going to say no!
